Cherries ... Round 2

Cherry Blossom Sunrise

This morning, I woke up obscenely early to photography the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in DC at sunrise. I knew it was supposed to be a little foggy, but the weather channel said it would burn off relatively quickly. However, mother nature intended otherwise. The soupy, thick fog hung around and left gray skies until noon. I was able to get a lot of great shots, but really missed the magenta, orange, and red hues I was expecting with a sunrise. I have included some of my favorite shots of the morning...

A Trip to the National Zoo

             






Preston and I took a trip to the National Zoo on Sunday.  It is one of our favorite places to go!  We saw a lot of animals while we were there and had so much fun.  It was a great start to spring break.  Here are some of my favorite shots...

Alright, so I decided to repurpose this blog because I have not ever posted here since my first entry. I am going to try to be better about these things!
In February, I attended a photo safari at the National Cathedral led by Washington Photo Safaris. I can not say enough good things about this experience...top notch instructors and unique vantage points. Wow!
